Arsenal and Tottenham have seen a total of twenty-five goals scored. That is an average of just over four goals a game. These are two sides who love to attack and make no mistake there will be goals again in this one. A couple of seasons back Arsenal and Tottenham played out a remarkable 4-4 draw at the Emirates stadium, let’s hope for something similar this weekend.
Tottenham will be without Dawson, Huddlestone, Keane, King & Woodgate for the short trip to Arsenal. There is light at the end of the tunnel for Tottenham however as Jermain Defoe made a comeback to training this week and Aaron Lennon is also in line to face Arsenal after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Tottenham Hotspur will face Arsenal in the Carling Cup third round on Tuesday at White Hart Lane with the added ingredient of the game being a north London derby between the two rivals. Both Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger have indicated their commitment to qualifying and youth and it could throw up some interesting clashes.
